How old do you have to be to become a Girl Scout?

You Need to be between the ages of 5-17. They must accept the Girl sCout Promise and Law and pay their $10 membership dues each yeah. No girl will be denied membership in Girl Scouts for financial reasons.

Why do you need my social security number when I fill out my Volunteer Application?

This is a national requirement. This enables us to run background checks.

Why do some girls only receive financial aid for their yearly registration and not any other items?

This is because we are a non-profit organization and have limited funds.

Are there scholarships available for girls?
